I love my job and the work I am blessed to do. I strive to improve my work product and positively affect the people I see at the courthouse each day. I believe my attitude, patience, understanding, empathy and acceptance qualify me to maintain this position.
There is a fine line between transparency and confidentiality at times, especially in juvenile court and certain probate matters. I do have concerns that sometimes my grassroots demeanor and approachable attitude may make me a target when I have to rule adversely to certain parties.
