Crimes against women and children. I guess I am passionate about that because I had a sister who was kidnapped when she was 18 years old and abused severely. It changed her in a devastating way, and, in fact, it changed our entire family.
Reducing government waste, so that we can have more resources to help special needs children and organizations like Pony Bird which I was successful in doing while I served in the Legislature from 1993 to 1999.

I am a passionate defender of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. These three inalienable rights are the foundation of our freedom and worth every bit of effort I can give. Like our forefathers, I must persevere through tough challenges as a defender of democracy.
Our citizens are extremely concerned about the data centers in Missouri. In my district, the small town of Festus is under attack. The citizens have chosen to fight for their rights to choose what their community will look like in future decades. I am calling for a moratorium on data centers in our county and Missouri. The people demand answers before building permits.

Disability support and advocacy
Due to my line of work, I will always be most passionate about disability rights. Every day I see gaps in the system that create hardships for people with disabilities. Once I begin working in Jefferson City, my ability to notice and find solutions for unintentional negative consequences of legislation will be beneficial when looking at policy that affects all Missourians.
Keeping the public involved in public policy. Our state has ignored or overturned the will of the voters repeatedly over the last two decades. From attempts to gut the citizens petition process to announcing hearings on short notice, our Legislature has tried to cut people out of government as much as possible. I will always use my position to ensure the people are heard.
