For 30 years, I have dedicated my life to educating students to become productive citizens in our society. While this is still my passion, I have decided to leave my classroom, not because I wanted to stop teaching students, but because I wanted to educate our lawmakers as to the damage they have done to students and teachers by cutting the funding they deserve.
Our top priority must be in reinvesting our public money back into public schools, not into school vouchers. Another priority is to feed all children breakfast and lunch because we must feed their bodies with food before we can fill their minds with knowledge. We must also create incentives for our young adults to want to enter the teaching profession.

I am passionate about protecting constitutional freedoms, including the First and Second Amendments, and defending the dignity of life. I support policies that strengthen families because I believe these principles are worth preserving. I am guided in this commitment by my faith and conservative values.
Helping Missouri veterans will be a top priority. Our veterans sacrificed for our freedoms and we owe them strong support at home. I will work to file or cosponsor legislation that expands access to care, strengthens available resources and benefits, and ensures those who served are treated with the dignity, respect, and support they have earned.
