Sales tax: eliminate it to create a more competitive environment for business and take the burden of higher prices off consumers. Education: I've seen our education system crumble. The Legislature continues to gut funding, leaving students and educators struggling. Infrastructure: MoDOT should be fully funded to fix all road, bridge and transportation issues.
Comprehensive tax reform: elimination of all sales tax in Missouri. Exemption on first $25,000 of earned income from tax. Exemption of the first $10,000 in tangible personal property from tax. Paid for by eliminating corporate welfare and tax handouts to the wealthy. To make up for the rest of the lost revenue, I'd propose a land value tax to replace the other taxes.
