We must address the affordability crisis with clear action. That includes protecting state public funding of our schools and ensuring that utility and tax policy are designed to benefit Missourians and not just corporations. I also support commonsense gun laws, like requiring a concealed carry permit with meaningful training and background check requirements.
The looming budgetary crisis will be a top concern. I oppose efforts to raise regressive taxes, which disproportionately hurt working families, to fund additional cuts to taxes for the ultra-wealthy. I'll support closing recently-created tax loopholes for the wealthy because doing so is fair and provides revenue to lower taxes and costs broadly across the state.
