I am passionate about lowering property taxes for all. Over the last few years, property taxes have skyrocketed because of inflation and taxpayers are feeling the pain. I am also passionate about education and ensuring our young people are given the best education possible. We need to make sure at the very least that students can read and understand the textbooks.
My top priority is education. I would do everything I can to support any bill that is in favor of the MOScholars program. I would also submit a bill that will say there would be a literacy test at the end of third grade because the textbooks change to a higher vocabulary level in fourth grade. The literacy test would ensure students will read and understand the textbook.
