I am passionate about several key areas of public policy including education, public safety, affordable housing and a stable economy where working families can thrive. Every child deserves a quality public education no matter their ZIP code. Implementing evidence-based policy can help strengthen families, create safer neighborhoods and stabilize communities.
My top priorities are fully funding public education, expanding affordable housing and standing up for veterans. I am proud to have passed legislation that supports retired teachers to return as substitute teachers which helps our schools retain experienced educators. I remain committed to efforts that assist our veterans and increase access to affordable housing for all.
