Our government spends too much money. It runs deficits in the trillions. The taxpayer now pays over one trillion dollars per year to service the debt. More debt and spending means more inflation. It's also long past time to listen to the advice of Ron Paul and Scott Horton and stop intervening in so many military affairs. We have our own problems at home.
My top priority is curtailing deficit spending. I would work with legislators on finding ways to make cuts that help ensure the smoothest transition to a balanced budget and I would never vote yes on a bill or budget that created more debt for future generations to bear the burden of.
