Kalkaska County - Blue Lake Township Refuse Collection Millage
This proposal renews a millage previously approved by the electors that expired after the December 2025 levy. The original millage was up to 1.00 mills, and in 2025 the Township levied 0.70 mills. This proposal renews the previously authorized millage, but only up to 0.75 mills, not the original 1.00 mills.Shall the previous voted increase in the tax limitation imposed under Article IX, Sec 6 of the Michigan Constitution, in Blue Lake Township, of 1.00 mills ($1.00 per $1,000 of taxable value), reduced to 0.9999 mills ($0.9999 per $1,000 of taxable value) by the required millage rollbacks, be renewed at up to 0.75mills ($0.75 per $1,000 of taxable value) and levied for four (4) years, 2026 through 2029, inclusive, for the purpose of providing funds for refuse collection services, which 0.75 mills will raise an estimated $80,959 in the first year the millage is levied?
