Kalkaska County - Blue Lake Township Road Millage
This proposal renews a millage previously approved by the electors that expired after the December 2025 levy. The original millage was 1.50 mills, reduced to 1.4999 mills by required rollbacks. This proposal renews the previously authorized millage, but only up to 0.60 mills, not the original 1.50 mills.Shall the previously voted increase in the tax limitation imposed under Article IX, Sec 6 of the Michigan Constitution, in Blue Lake Township, of 1.50 mills ($1.50 per $1,000 of taxable value), reduced to 1.4999 mills ($1.4999 per $1,000 of taxable value) by the required millage rollbacks, be renewed at up to 0.60 mills ($0.60 per $1,000 of taxable value) and levied for four (4) years, 2026 through 2029, inclusive, for the purpose of providing funds for the construction and maintenance of roads in the Township, which 0.60 mills will raise an estimated $64,767 in the first year the millage is levied?
