I have over 20years of leadership experience, including serving as a vice chancellor at UMKC. I have served on a number of boards and commissions, including Health Forward, the Mayor's Human Rights Commission, the Mayors Equity and Inclusion Commission (Lees Summit)!,COMBAT Comission to name a few. I've also been involved in a number of community efforts. These experiences has prepared me to bring my leadership, conflict resolution and consensus building skills to the Jackson County Legislature.
1. Finalizing fair and equitable property taxation
2. Promoting transparent and effective government
3. Making progress on a number of key issues e.g. problems in the detention center, public safety and solutions for the abandoned sports complex
In addition, I 'm interested in issues of youth and women.
