Biography (max 750 char) My name is Ronald McCoy and I live in rural eastern Washington and will represent the agriculture district. I’m 69 years of age , married to my wife of 48 years. We have raised 6 beautiful children all adopted but very much our own. Coming from large families my wife born in a siblings of 8 children and myself 7 siblings. I have a pretty good understanding about big families and the need for representation of 7 counties not just a couple counties. Growing up in small rural communities is something I’m familiar with. My political background is serving as Chewelah Washington Mayor 1998 to 2002 and Chewelah City council for past few years up to December 2025. I have served on many local, county and various county boards representing Stevens
Balanced budget creating a solid plan to revitalize the small cities economic businesses
More town hall meetings and moving past the everyday business affairs in Olympia and focus on everyday living individuals
Keep our local Policemen, Fireman local control promoting volunteers participation
Offering more avenue and access to local concerns either through internet and looking for accountability. The State shouldn’t have to play a role in accountability it’s the citizens who should demand the responsibility of the journalists to report facts
Leave the district alone and focus on the needs of the people in that district
Job creation and stabling the current economic base for our district. State should be involved in making sure that any funding for assistance should be focused on needs not wants. Not just administration’s but overall impacts on the local citizens
