I was born, raised, went to school in Tacoma. My grandparents & great grandparents came as legal immigrants. I am one of the Original Title IX girls that fought for girls to have their own sports teams. I participated in both swimming and track events. I went to both Tacoma Community college and later to Washington state University where I majored in Agricultural Science. I have been a union represenative done union negotiation. I have worked in various different occupations from grounds and park maintenance, utility forest tech., done code compliance, caregiving and more. Working 2 jobs sometimes or through the state unemployment system when work slowdown or lay offs happen, looked for work. I have worked different shifts and schedules.
Balance the State budget yearly as required by the state Constitution, or even quarterly. The state is backrupt and in debt. Stop over spending look for abuse, waste of money, fraud, mismanagement of funds like pubic hair removal for prisoners in prisons.
Addition Revenue could come from the illegal land development that has gone on for decades from fines for reckless endangerment. Restoring Farmland for food to those in need.
Everyone from the governor, legistlators, public employees takes a paycut just like every other employer is doing and does. Shutdown major high end projects we can not keep spending into debt like the new Hwy 167 extension, wait. Maintain current infastructure repair old bridges, dams etc before new projects. Stop Over spending money we do not have money saved.
Speaking with people on all sides they want to go back like we use to have elections years ago. Have proof legal Voters. Voter Identification the REAL ID where you prove you were born in the USA or naturalized like my grandparents. With that verification then Absentee Ballots would solve part of this also stop registering people to vote from Driver License agencys to other places.
People have told me that they have been offered to Register to Vote Greencard holders or a spouse has and that they are not a citizen and absolutley no one would know no one is checking. In 2024 many people in Pierce County did not get their Primary Voters pamphlets. Every person Voting needs to have their own Voters pamphlet so they can read it & mark it like they use to Not just 1 pamphlet per address.
Stronger tough on crime laws, stop catch & release, longer prision sentence & jail time, in all areas. Support law enforcement. Stop Cartels and gangs trafficking humans, drugs, gun & more interagency collabertion to get interstate trafficking. Stop santuary state & city policy, laws that fully protect Cartel & gang members to operate freely trafficking. Restore the FLOCK camers. Drivers in Washington state be Legal Green card holders, able to Read & write English to operate Semi Trucks or get a Semi truck driver license or other drivers licenes. Check all Semi Drivers coming into the Port of Tacoma. Stop releasing felons & rapest on the the street. Stop land development in geological hazard areas, floodways, seismic hazards move stratigic infastructure, schools and more out of harms way.
Make sure we keep AM radio available in all motor vehicle state wide so people have a choice of news sources. The state can put out its own accurate TV and news releases when it release information. State TV for the state legislature. The state is not responsible for Freedom of the press.
Teach local high school student and in college and universities that accurace is good press and not being the editor but Facts and only the Facts, not misleading, deceptive statements or personal oppions. Make it easier for published news to come back better business friendly environment. Encourage those journalist, media and news to put out accuarte and correct information not misleading because they personally disagree. Report on things like the sexual change of school age children hormone blockers.
More Notification to areas of what is going on many people did not know that they had gone throught the redistriction process. Send out at least 2 Notice to citizen by U.S. mail to deliver mailed notices. Make location and time more accessable.
Stop only putting and hiding things on the internet not everyone has that luxury, time to access to look at those things many people do not have the time for that. Inform all Legal Registered Voters by U.S. Mail at least a month before hand and have multipul places to have their input taken. Common Areas together like Fife, Milton and Edgewood together. Gig Harbor Key Pen. area separate from Tacoma. Keep certain neighborhoods together. Having more public input.
The 12.6 mile explosion range of the 8 million gallon Liquified Natural Gas/LNG Facility = to 4,800,000,000 billion gallons gallons of natural gas that could take out the entire Port of Tacoma, Browns Point, Fife Hiehgts, Fife and Tacoma. The Enivironmental Impact Statement left out 100's of pages. Violation of siting laws, building laws and more. Decommision before the PSE LNG blows up during a major earthquake, flood, dam break, tsunami and kills hundreds of people and injuring thousands. Illegal land development violating the Stafford Act of 1974, International Building Code, Growth Management Act 1990 building in dangerous Geological hazards. Make the state the enforcer of the laws not local juristdictions. Building in Liquefaction Soil that collapes buildings, Lahar, landslide areas.
