Texas Charter Township Fire Department Millage
Shall Texas Charter Township, Kalamazoo County, be authorized to levy annually a new additional millage in an amount not to exceed 1.7009 mills ($1.7009 per each $1,000 of taxable value) against all taxable property in the Township for a period of nine (9) years, 2026 through 2034, inclusive, to provide funds for the staffing, operation, construction, and maintenance of fire department facilities; the acquisition of real property; the purchase of apparatus and equipment; and any other purpose authorized by law for fire department or fire service purposes? The estimate of the revenue the Township will collect in the first year (2026) if the millage is approved and levied by the Township is approximately $2,337,000.
