Continue to streamline the record-keeping processes, make cemetery maintenance and future projects a high priority, and work to make Election processes and procedures easier for the local officials and for voters to maneuver and understand.
I am a licensed funeral director who has worked with multiple families during highly emotional times and sometimes with difficult family dynamics. I worked for three years to audit and correct cemetery records for Comstock Township and while doing so, learned all that I could about township government; I collected and receipted tax payments, worked in Accounts Receivable, recorded Board minutes, assisted the Ordinance Officer with ticketing and violations procedures, and performed other office duties that overlapped areas of focus within the township.
Keep working with the State and Kalamazoo County to work out the voting processes for all, whether it relates to ADA requirements, citizenship and/or residency requirements. Here in Richland, we are constantly streamlining the processes at the precincts and with Absentee Voter ballot mailing, and with voter role maintenance.
