Maintaining Fiscal Responsibility – I will ensure taxpayer dollars are managed carefully, and decisions are made with accountability and efficiency in mind. Increasing Financial Transparency – I want residents to have clear, easy-to-understand information about how township funds are collected, allocated, and spent. Open Communication - I want to help build trust between local government and the community.
I bring more than 20 years of experience, with over 12 of those as a Deputy Treasurer and now current appointed Treasurer. Through these roles, I have developed a thorough understanding of municipal finances, taxation, financial reporting, investment management, and more. In addition, I bring strong communication and relationship-building skills. I work effectively with staff, government agencies, and residents to provide clear information and support informed decision-making. I am a collaborative problem-solver who approaches challenges with with professionalism, integrity, and a focus on achieving the best outcomes for the municipality.
Like many other places we face many economic challenges. One of the biggest is housing availability and affordability. Housing has become a huge economic development issue. I have and am in support of actions taken by the current board to update lot size changes which will allow more houses to be built on lots where they once could not. This goes hand in had with another challenge we face which is expanding the tax base while maintaining the character of the community. It is also vital that we support our small businesses as they help the tax base and keep jobs within our community.
