I have been local to the Antrim, Grand Traverse and Leelanau county area all my life. I've been an attorney in the area for over 30 years, practicing in many areas of the law, including criminal defense, juvenile law, family law, abuse/neglect cases, Tribal law, etc. I was appointed Antrim County Prosecuting Attorney and started January 1, 2025. I have worked previously as a Tribal prosecutor, in private practice, as a county assistant prosecutor, as a Tribal judge, as a Tribal Appellate judge, etc. All of which I think makes me well-rounded and suited to continue to be the Antrim County Prosecuting Attorney.

The prosecuting attorney's office stays busy year-round with all manner of cases. Priority issues would be working to try to make the office more efficient with the use of technology, where it makes sense. Also working to prioritize the cases that have the most significant impact on the lives and safety of those in Antrim County, including drug cases, cases involving violence, drunk driving, etc. We have started a pilot program using diversion for cases typically treated with just fines and costs, such as driving on a suspended license, driving without insurance, etc., which is still very new and we are still evaluating the effectiveness of the program.
