Burnet CISD - Bond Election PROPOSITION A (2026-05-02)

PROPOSITION AThe issuance of bonds in the amount of $133,000,000 for school facilities and the levy of taxes sufficient to pay the principal of and interest on the bonds. THIS IS A PROPERTY TAX INCREASENOTE: The legislature passed a new law requiring school districts to include the language “THIS IS A PROPERTY TAX INCREASE”, even when the district is not expecting a rate increase. This is because the issuance of new bonds increases the term of debt repayments at the current rate. Even when bonds do not impact the tax rate, they elongate the repayment term at the current rate.
