Authorized by Montana Code 7-6-24, the auditor reviews vendor payments, develops financial policies, and provides transparency. Key Responsibilities include: Claims Review, Auditing, Procurement & Policies, Reporting, and Internal Controls.Qualifications & Skills include: Knowledge of governmental accounting and budgeting practices., ability to interpret complex regulations, proficiency in financial software, spreadsheet applications, and data analysis, and strong communication skills to present reports to management. Salary Information (2026) $105,726.40The Auditor’s salary is aligned with the standard base pay for most elected department heads in Missoula County.

Leveraging knowledge, systems and efficient processes in minimizing inaccuracies which take time to update. Providing current updated and accurate information quickly.
I am new to my role, but have worked within my deparment ensuring thoughtful and timely audits.
