Comfort ISD - Bond Election PROPOSITION B
PROPOSITION B"The issuance of not to exceed $6,000,000 of Comfort Independent School District school building bonds for the purposes of designing, constructing, renovating, improving, upgrading, updating, acquiring, and equipping Bobcat Stadium, including upgrading the stadium with artificial turf and lighting, and the levying of a tax sufficient to pay the & principal of and interest on the bonds."Voters can mark the ballot FOR or AGAINST on the propositions.Orange voter registration card details the elections for the voter residence address.THIS IS A PROPERTY TAX INCREASENOTE: The legislature passed a new law requiring school districts to include the language “THIS IS A PROPERTY TAX INCREASE”, even when the district is not expecting a rate increase. This is because the issuance of new bonds increases the term of debt repayments at the current rate. Even when bonds do not impact the tax rate, they elongate the repayment term at the current rate.*Combined, Proposition A and Proposition B would result in a $0.02 (two cents) tax increase.
