1) Supporting and encouraging measures that increase and sustain enrollment.

2) Increasing the offerings of vocational training programs, classes, and degrees and making the current programs more robust. Encouraging partnership with local building trades unions to help expose those students to the trades, develop curriculum, and create a pipeline to apprenticeship.

3) Ensuring amicable and just outcomes between the school and its collective bargaining partners.
I am running for this office to bring back, and help support, an "active" presence on the Board. Desiree Rabinov, who is a current trustee and an endorser, has been, by far, the most active board member in recent memory - helping secure a recent school bond and PLA agreement. This is the type of leadership that I plan on having on the board.

If elected, I would be the youngest member on the Board, and I see that as a necessity. College-aged kids should have someone who understands the current issues facing this generation and have a voice on the Board who can communicate those needs and positions effectively.

There are a whole new set of challenges and decisions facing college kids, young teachers and staff members today than there was 10, 15 and 20 years ago, and it is time for a fresh face and bold ideas on the GCC Board

I was appointed, and currently serve, on the GCC Bond citizens oversight committee where I have gained knowledge and experience in how GCC deals with the new bond money, the priorities, what is needed and the like.
