Office Sought Precinct committeeman
I have not previously served as a precinct committeeman.
I do expect candidates to be open and available for discussion and debate on issues that affect their position.
I think an individuals skills and local experience should be reviewed in concert to form their qualifications. A very skilled orator or engaging person who does not accurately reflect the populace he or she represents is a detriment to their constituents. National party ideals should be a guideline for creating a general direction, but not a set of hard and fast rules to which one must adhere.
I believe the residents of precinct 503 should have a voice for their community and be able to share their opinions without condemnation for not strictly following the exact ideals of those who are supposed to represent them. Divisive rhetoric such as "RINO" sews discord and is meant to silence people who deserve to be heard.
