Precinct Committeeman
Yes. I was elected Committeeman for Precinct 301 (Twin Lakes area) May 2024 to present.
Yes. All candidates should participate, and I would encourage them to provide information to the voters. I would also encourage candidates to participate in debates and forums.
By far, local experience should be at the top of the list; the ability to know and understand what needs to be done locally is keen for a local position. Secondly would be skills; the proper skillset for the role is crucial for competence. Third is qualifications; education, prior relevant roles, and other credentials will benefit the candidate. Lastly is national party adherence; local officials have limited or no direct control over the national party platform. Our community wants local issues resolved.
I have served my community since moving here in 2002. As a community resident and local business owner, with over 300 employees, I have a vested interest in the health and wellbeing of our community.
My role as a precinct committeeman is being a voice for the people in our precinct (neighborhood). It's about making sure our community values, concerns, and priorities are heard inside the party and reflected in the candidates and policies we support.
I'm running because I care deeply about where we live and the direction we're headed.
My community service has included: Precinct Committeeman 2024-present, Kroc Center Advisory Board 2017-present, Lakeland Joint School District Trustee 2008-2019, Ronald McDonald House Board Member 2004-2025.
