The potential for a loss of revenue if real estate taxes are voted down by the electorate. The legislature will be required to provide alternative taxing mechanisms. This new approach will require a great deal of study and adjustment. I believe my background will be needed to navigate these difficult waters.
I have been very aggressive promoting development in the areas of the county that are outside Miami and Union Township. I come from a family of small business owners and understand their needs. Enhancement of infrastructure is a primary focus.
I have served as Trustee, School Board Member, and County Commissioner. I am the only Commissioner with this broad experience and education.

Reduced state funding through the Local Government Fund has shifted the financial burden onto our county, forcing local residents to cover the gap for essential services despite rising operational costs. I support restoring state funding to historical levels to ensure that Clermont County receives its fair share of tax revenue without being forced to rely on constant local levy increases. My priority is to secure state-backed "circuit-breaker" funding to support a tiered tax solution that protects our long-term property owners from being priced out of their homes.
I bring over a decade of hands-on experience as a small business owner in Clermont County, providing me with the fiscal discipline and real-world understanding of the economic pressures facing our residents. My proven track record in legislative advocacy, specifically co-authoring the Sibling Preservation and Visitation Act, demonstrates my technical ability to navigate government and move meaningful policy forward. Above all, I offer a leadership style rooted in Integrity, Honesty, and Transparency, ensuring that the voice of the community—not reckless development—drives our county’s future.
I hope to stop reckless development and implement a tiered tax solution that protects long-term property owners from being priced out of their homes. I am committed to expanding access to essential mental health services for our residents to ensure a healthier, safer community. By leading with Integrity, Honesty, and Transparency, I will implement a monthly report available on social media to ensure total accountability for every dollar spent in the county

Work Experience
I have more than 25 years of experience in journalism, communications and public service. I began my career as a reporter covering local government and community issues, then transitioned into communications, where I currently serve in a public-facing role for a large public institution. I have also worked as a small business owner. Throughout my career, I’ve focused on clear communication, accountability and helping the public better understand how government works.
Why I am Running
Changes in state funding have shifted more of the responsibility for local services onto local taxpayers. As state support has fluctuated or declined in certain areas, counties and local governments have had to rely more heavily on property taxes and local levies to maintain essential services. That puts added pressure on residents, especially during times of rising costs.
Going forward, I would support more stable, predictable state funding that allows local governments to plan responsibly without overburdening taxpayers. I also believe in stronger transparency and accountability in how funds are allocated at both the state and local level. At the county level, we need to focus on disciplined budgeting, careful evaluation of incentives and ensuring that every dollar spent delivers real value to the community.
I bring a unique combination of experience in journalism, communications and public service that directly translates to the role of County Commissioner. As a former reporter, I developed a deep understanding of how local government works and a commitment to transparency and accountability. In my current communications role, I work daily to ensure the public receives clear, accurate information from a large public institution.
I’ve also been a small business owner, giving me firsthand insight into the challenges local businesses face. Across all of my work, I’ve focused on listening, asking tough questions and bringing people together to solve problems. I will bring that same approach to this role. I will serve as a responsible steward of taxpayer dollars and a watchdog for the public.
As a County Commissioner, I want to ensure Clermont County remains fiscally responsible, transparent and well-prepared for growth. That starts with being a careful steward of taxpayer dollars. Scrutinizing spending, evaluating incentives and making sure public funds deliver real value is how this happens.
I also want to help guide smart, balanced growth that protects our quality of life while supporting economic development. That means investing in infrastructure, planning responsibly and working with communities, not around them.
Just as important, I want to strengthen public trust in county government by making it more open, accessible and responsive. My goal is simple: make sure county government works for the people, not the other way around.
