My top priorities are strengthening public trust, expanding access, and modernizing our operations. First, I will continue to ensure elections are conducted with the highest levels of integrity, security, and transparency so every voter has confidence in the process. Second, I will expand voter education and outreach, especially for young voters, language-minority communities, and underserved populations, to ensure equitable access to the ballot. Third, I will modernize and streamline our systems in both the elections and Clerk-Recorder functions, improving efficiency, accuracy, and accessibility of services while maintaining strong safeguards for public records.
I bring over 17 years of hands-on experience in election administration at the state, county, and local levels. I began my career with the California Secretary of State’s Office and have since served in leadership roles in Sacramento and Yolo counties, ultimately becoming Deputy Registrar of Voters before being appointed Nevada County Clerk-Recorder/Registrar of Voters.

My experience spans every aspect of election operations, including voter registration, ballot design and processing, voting system security, outreach, and candidate services. I have led large teams, implemented modern voting models, and received national recognition for innovation and civic engagement.

I hold a Master of Public Administration from the University of the Pacific, am a Certified Elections/Registration Administrator (CERA), and a California Registered Election Official (REO). As the son of farmworkers and a first-generation college graduate, I bring a deep commitment to public service, equity, and ensuring every resident is served with professionalism and respect.
