The Fresno City Council is the legislative body of the city of Fresno. Their powers and duties are subject to the Ralph M. Brown Act and include the consideration of land use decisions, reviewing and approving the annual City budget ($2.36 billion for the fiscal year 2026), and other actions taken by ordinance, resolution, etc. at publicly noticed City Council Meetings. The seven Council members are elected to four-year terms and there is a limit of two consecutive terms.

If elected, my top three priorities are rooted in a simple principle: a city thrives when people feel safe, businesses grow, and young people are prepared for the future.
1. Public Safety & Safe Camps
Government’s first duty is to protect its people. I will move all homeless individuals into structured safe camps that provide proper medical treatment for mental health and drug, addiction, job training, and then a clear path to housing. Leaving people on the streets is not compassionate, it exposes them to danger and harms our neighborhoods and small businesses. Safe camps restore dignity for those in need while restoring safety and order for the entire community. The homeless and the homeless advocates are asking for a safe camp.
2. Economic Growth & Small Business Support
Small businesses are the backbone of our economy, yet they are often burdened by excessive regulations and delays. I will cut unnecessary red tape, streamline permits, and create incentives for investment, especially in underserved areas. When businesses succeed, they create jobs, strengthen neighborhoods, and generate the revenue needed to improve city services without raising taxes.
3. Invest in Youth & Education
Students are 100% of our future. Through my nonprofit, Success From Within, I have already put this belief into action, providing mentorship, scholarships, and real-world skills to at-risk youth, with measurable improvements in academic performance and confidence. I will expand after-school programs, mentorship, and financial literacy education citywide, partnering with nonprofits, schools, and businesses to create pathways to success.
I am not a politician. I am a retired business owner, community leader, and problem solver. I am running because Fresno deserves leadership that puts people before politics.
That is why it is important for me to run as an independent because people deserve to have someone that will put their interest before a political agenda
I came to this country grateful for opportunity, believing that success comes from within. Through mentorship, education and hard work
I’ve been involved with nonprofit and at-risk kids since 1994, 9 years after I arrived to the US
2015- 2016 I was the president of Big Brothers Big Sisters in Central California then I founded the Blackstone Merchants Association to promote a cleaner and safer Fresno, and launched the nonprofit Success From Within to empower the next generation.
I understand how our city works and am prepared to lead effectively from day one.
Our community is asking for the basics: safer neighborhoods, real solutions to homelessness, affordable living, repaired roads and sidewalks, support for small businesses, and full transparency on every taxpayer dollar. These are not partisan issues; they are common-sense priorities.
By enforcing existing laws and cutting red tape, we can restore safety, affordability, and prosperity. Leadership is about service, accountability, and results. I am running to be your voice. I know how to unite people, and how to turn vision into results
