Office Sought
Minidoka County Assessor
Our county is seeing growth and it is important that any impact to our agricultural resources be considered at every step of the way.
I will work to ensure that assessments are fair and equitable for all. Since assessment is the basis for the tax system in Idaho, it is essential to ensure that the assessments are valid and accurate.
Tax exemptions are important to ensuring an equitable balance of the distribution of the tax burden, I would insist on routine audits to be certain that they are applied fairly.
My background includes 25 years of experience in Idaho county government, with a proven track record of 17 years as a Deputy Assessor that provides me with the knowledge and understanding to address these challenges.
Serving in an Assessor's office requires extensive specialized training to ensure that you're keeping up with the changes in statutes affecting assessment. My training and experience started in 2001, and I have maintained continuous training and certification with the State of Idaho since then.
My experience and training includes property ownership, cartography, valuation assessment, appeals, as well as issues affecting the taxing districts and their budgets and levies.
I understand the importance of our agricultural base, and understand that it is essential to follow the local markets closely to ensure up to date values.
Simply put, I have the knowledge, skills and determination to get the job done right.
I will always strive to be available to meet with the public and will insist on transparency and the highest degree of attention to detail and accuracy. An Assessor's office should always be ready and available to respond to the public.

Office Sought
Minidoka County Assessor
Our county is changing—property values, development, and population trends all impact how we assess and serve our community.
My approach will be to ensure property valuations are fair, accurate, and consistent by using up-to-date data, ongoing training, and local market knowledge. Being born and raised here gives me a real understanding of our communities not just numbers on a page.
Many people don’t fully understand how property values are determined or what the Assessor’s Office actually does. That can lead to confusion and frustration.
My approach will be to make the office more accessible and transparent—whether that’s through clear communication, community outreach, or simply taking the time to sit down and explain the process. When people understand, they feel confident in the system.
I bring a combination of hands-on experience, local knowledge, and a proven track record of service that directly prepares me to address these challenges.
I’m not coming in to learn the job—I’m already doing the work.
Through my time in the Assessor’s Office, I’ve gained direct experience with property valuations, ownership records, and the day-to-day responsibilities that impact our county. I understand the laws, the systems, and the importance of getting it right.
Being born and raised here matters. I understand our neighborhoods, our agricultural base, and how our local market behaves. That insight allows me to make fair and informed decisions that reflect real conditions—not just formulas.
I’ve committed to learning from experienced assessors, attending trainings, and staying current on Idaho property tax laws and appraisal practices. That continued education ensures accuracy,
Staying engaged with constituents isn’t something I plan to start—it’s something I already do and will continue to build on every day.
I believe one of the most important parts of this role is being available. Whether someone walks into the office, calls with a question, or reaches out online, they deserve a response. I will always make time to listen and help.
There is no substitute for real conversations. I will continue attending community events, meeting with property owners, and visiting with people one-on-one. That’s how you truly understand concerns and build trust.
I will use platforms like Facebook and community updates to explain what the Assessor’s Office does, share important deadlines, and break down complex topics in a way that’s easy to understand.
