I value a work environment that promotes employee health and productivity. I have spent many years creating this type of environment within the Clerks Office, and I believe it has paid dividends. Our employees enjoy an environment that supports them and encourages growth. This in turn, this has developed a work force that is motivated, effective, and always looking for ways to improve the office as a whole.
I have worked for Valley County for 12 years in the Clerks Office. Starting as a Court Clerk, I moved up to Court Clerk Supervisor after 1 year. I was appointed to Chief Deputy Clerk 10 years ago. Appointed County Clerk 1 month ago.I am running for this office because I have been training for this position for 10 years. I have worked closely with the previous County Clerk, Douglas Miller, to create an effective and productive Clerks Office.
During my time as Chief Deputy Clerk, I have already faced significant challenges in this position. For example, when I first started in the position our office, unfortunately, had a toxic culture that was not productive or supportive. With time and dedication, Clerk Miller and I were able to change this culture into what it is now: a productive, supportive work environment that supports employee growth and productivity. This is one example of a major challenge that I was able to overcome. I do not foresee any significant challenges in the near future because we have already tackled the major problems facing the Clerks Office. Any new challenges will be met with the same determination I've used to overcome all major issues.
I have been a dedicated employee at the Valley County Clerk's Office for 12 years. Our office has been extremely successful in that time because of the work I put into it. As County Clerk, I will continue to build upon the success this office has had so that we can continue to provide an outstanding service to the citizens of Valley County.

If elected, my priority is to ensure the Clerk’s office operates with transparency, accountability, and professionalism. I will focus on maintaining accurate and accessible public records, supporting well-organized and secure elections, and ensuring responsible financial oversight as ex officio auditor. I believe in clear procedures, strong internal controls, and consistent communication with the public. My goal is to build trust in the Clerk’s office by ensuring systems are organized, efficient, and working for the citizens of Valley County.
My background includes over 20 years of experience in financial oversight, operational leadership, and business management. I began my career in banking, where I developed a strong foundation in regulatory compliance and financial accountability. I currently serve as a Valley County Planning & Zoning Commissioner, giving me direct experience with county processes and decision-making. I also served as Treasurer of the Valley County Republican Central Committee, where I was responsible for financial reporting and compliance. These roles have prepared me to manage complex systems with accuracy, organization, and accountability.
One of the most significant challenges is ensuring that county systems remain well-organized, transparent, and consistent as our community continues to grow. The Clerk’s office requires careful coordination across elections, financial processes, and public records, and even small inefficiencies can impact public trust. I believe there is an opportunity to strengthen procedures, improve documentation, and ensure clear communication both internally and with the public. My focus would be on maintaining strong systems, supporting staff, and ensuring the office operates with a high standard of professionalism and accountability.
I am an Idaho native who chose to build my life and raise my family in Valley County because of the values, community, and quality of life we share here. I care deeply about this county and the people who call it home. I believe local government should be transparent, accountable, and focused on serving its citizens. The Clerk’s office is not a political role, it requires organization, attention to detail, and a commitment to doing the job right. I bring real-world experience, a strong work ethic, and a disciplined approach to managing systems and responsibilities. If elected, I will serve with integrity, professionalism, and a clear focus on ensuring the Clerk’s office operates efficiently and in the best interest of Valley County.
