Office Sought Commissioner
I have several priorities for my re-election including fiscal responsibility, protecting the county's rights, furthering engagement with the community, and infrastructure improvement. My approach to service is guided by transparency, accountability, and collaboration. If re-elected, I will continue focusing on practical solutions that protect our way of life while preparing Valley County for the future.
I am a fifth-generation rancher that was raised in Valley County, and currently manage our family ranch. In 2024, I made the exciting decision to run for District 1 Commissioner in Valley County. I was sworn into that position January, 2025 and have served with gratitude since then. I am now seeking re-election to a second term. Prior to being elected, I worked in a variety of roles supporting Idaho's agriculture industries, helping represent our farmers and ranchers both across the country and internationally. I also served on our local FSA committee, was appointed by the President to the FSA state committee, and served as a 4-H leader. All of these experiences, and more, have prepared me to serve my constituents as Commissioner.
The most significant challenges include infrastructure improvement and protecting local decision authority. Strengthening Valley County’s infrastructure is essential as our county faces significant challenges with roads, bridges, and reliable access that affect residents, businesses, agriculture, and emergency services. I will work closely with state and federal partners to ensure Valley County has a strong voice in projects that directly affect our infrastructure, including securing a role as a cooperating agency. Local communities should have the ability to make decisions that impact their future. In recent years, some authority traditionally held at the county level has shifted to the state. I believe those decisions should remain local.
Valley County is my home. Generations of my family have built their lives here, and like so many of you, I care deeply about protecting the values, opportunities and way of life that make Valley County special. I am honored to seek re-election as District 1 Commissioner for Valley County. Serving our community over the past term has been both a privilege and a responsibility I take seriously, and I am committed to continuing the work of moving Valley County forward.
