Shoshone County Commissioner District 2
The three-member Board of County Commissioners is the governing body of the county. County Commissioner is the only office that has legislative, executive and judicial responsibilities and duties. Commissioners have the power to pass ordinances, adopt budgets, fix tax levy rates and oversee the county budget. They are charged with the duty of supervising the official conduct of all county officers as their conduct relates to public monies and revenues, as well as supervising appointed boards and committees. They also act as the Board of Equalization. The Board sits as a quasi-judicial body to hear various matters, including planning and zoning requests, property valuation protests and requests for cancellation of taxes, and indigent issues among many others.

Campaign Statement
If elected as County Commissioner, my commitment is simple: every decision I make will be guided by one principle-always putting our county first! My decision will not be based on politics, nor will it be based on special agendas. They will be based on what is truly best for our people and our community. “My focus is on strengthening the Silver Valley economy by capitalizing on the growing tourism through the North Fork corridor while modernizing our county government. By leveraging visitor opportunities, we can create sustainable income for our local communities. At the same time, I am committed to bringing our county services online to improve access, efficiency, and transparency for residents.
I bring 23 years of experience in the financial industry, including 21 years managing a local bank. This experience has given me a strong background in finance, fiscal responsibility, and effective management.
Generating additional income for the county.
I was born and raised right here in Shoshone County. My family, my roots and my life are deeply connected to this community. I grew up on the North Fork River and attended our schools, worked in our local businesses, and built my career in the Silver Valley. For the past 23 years, I have had the privilege of managing a local bank and working closely with families, small businesses and community members who make our county strong. Shoshone County isn’t just where I live-its home.
Because I have spent my life here, I understand the challenges our residents face as well as the opportunities that lie ahead. I know the importance of strong local jobs, safe communities, responsible growth, well maintained roads and infrastructure.
