County Commissioner District 2
The most pressing challenges facing Jefferson County include rapid population growth, with a strain on infrastructure, use of land, and the quality of life we continue to desire. These issues require thoughtful planning and a commitment to ensuring that growth benefits current residents rather than burdening. I support responsible, well-planned growth by strengthening comprehensive planning efforts and ensuring that zoning decisions align with long-term infrastructure capacity. Development should not outpace the county’s ability to provide essential services. To that, I believe developers must contribute fairly to the cost of roads, water systems, and other critical infrastructure needed to support new growth. Strategic investment in infrastructure is essential. I believe prioritize road improvements, intersection upgrades, and long-term transportation planning for the future growth will help keep pace with increasing demand. By focusing on responsible growth we provide for the future
My qualifications allow me to approach these challenges with both practical understanding and a focus on long-term solutions. Through my experience, I have developed the ability to evaluate growth based on impacting infrastructure, public services, and the community. Critical evaluation is crucial when making decisions about zoning, development, and resource allocation. I bring a strong commitment to responsible planning and accountability, ensuring that growth is managed in a way that aligns with the county’s infrastructure capacity and financial realities. I understand the importance of requiring development to contribute fairly to the systems it depends on, helping prevent existing residents from bearing unnecessary costs. My background also supports effective collaboration with state agencies, local municipalities, and community stakeholders. My practical experience, collaboration, and a commitment to thoughtful planning, I am prepared to help Jefferson County navigate growth.
I will stay actively engaged with my constituents by maintaining open, consistent communication and being accessible to the community. This includes attending local meetings, hosting regular town halls, and being available to listen to concerns and feedback. I will also use multiple communication channels—such as email, social media, and public updates—to keep residents informed about decisions and ongoing projects. Transparency and responsiveness are essential, and I am committed to ensuring constituents feel heard and represented. By building strong relationships and encouraging community input, I will make sure decisions reflect the needs and priorities of the people I serve. My commitment to the needs of this county shows in my ability to be of service to others.

Jefferson county commissioner, district 2
The biggest challenge facing our county is growth and how we manage it. Growth is coming whether we like it or not, but if it outpaces our infrastructure, our roads, emergency services, and schools will fall behind and taxpayers will carry the burden. My approach is simple: growth should pay for growth. New developments should have clear plans to support them before approval, including infrastructure. Another challenge is financial responsibility. Our county cannot continue spending more than it brings in. I will focus on prioritizing needs over wants and using taxpayer dollars wisely. Finally, we need better communication. I will stay engaged with residents and make sure their concerns are heard and addressed.
I bring real-world experience solving problems, managing budgets, and working with people. In my career, I’ve had to plan projects, stay on budget, and meet deadline skills that directly apply to managing county resources and planning for growth. I understand the importance of separating needs from wants and making sure taxpayer dollars are used responsibly. I also have experience listening to people, understanding their concerns, and finding practical solutions. I may not be a career politician, but I work here, I’m raising a family here, and I face the same challenges as others in this county. I know how to work with others, ask the right questions, and find solutions that make sense.
Staying connected with the community is a priority for me. I will be accessible and open to hearing from residents, whether that’s through public meetings, community events, or everyday conversations. I believe you can’t fix problems you don’t hear about, so listening will be a big part of how I serve. I will also use tools like social media to keep people informed and give them an easy way to share their concerns. Being engaged means being present, approachable, and willing to have honest conversations. My goal is to make sure people feel heard and know their input matters in the decisions being made.
