Campaign Statement I’m a lifelong Jefferson County resident, mechanic, and former chef who has managed large budgets and projects, including leading a $4.3 million kitchen build-out. I completed state-funded grantwriting training through the Ririe Community Coalition and FEMA’s Professional Development Series in emergency management. My priorities are straightforward: Protect our farms and aquifer while allowing responsible growth Keep County Line Road and other key routes open for harvest traffic Demand real infrastructure studies before approving large developments Ensure local control and accountability with taxpayer dollars I’m not a career politician I’m a local guy who fixes things and aims to keep decisions local as it is these people most effected.

Office Sought County Commissioner Zone 1
“I’m running for Jefferson County Commissioner, District 1, to protect what makes our county special while ensuring we grow responsibly. My main goals are: Safeguard our farms and aquifer by requiring real infrastructure studies before approving large developments, so new growth doesn’t overload our roads or strain our water resources. Keep critical roads like County Line open and functional for harvest traffic and daily use, preventing costly delays for farmers and families. Defend property rights and local control — making sure decisions stay in Jefferson County instead of being dictated by Boise or Washington. Manage taxpayer dollars responsibly using the budgeting, grantwriting, and project management skills I’ve gained from real-world
Is anyone truly ready when they feel that today is the day, Im going to go run for elected office? My preparation comes from real-world experience: years as a mechanic managing tight repair budgets, leading a $4.3 million kitchen build-out as a chef, state-funded grantwriting training through the Ririe Community Coalition, and completing FEMA’s Professional Development Series in emergency management. As a civilian contractor at Fort Bragg, I learned to stretch limited funds to serve people who needed it most. Combined with my lifelong roots in Jefferson County — hauling grain, fixing trucks, and raising a family here — I’m ready to manage county budgets, roads, and growth with practical, accountable leadership.
I believe that the greatest challenges that can be addressed by my election are not so simply put, I believe that this kind of position is one that should be reserved for those who are younger, more able to serve the general public. Delivering a new approach to an old problem. As the area grows, we have to worry about protecting our aquafir! The aquafir below our feet provides the lush and abundant valley we enjoy now. We have to look at new means of replenishment as the amount of buildings choke back the natural process of recharging through flood irrigation. If we cant create a balance with our valley, it will wither away and become nothing more than another desert patch. If I achieve nothing else, I hope to preserve our way of life.
But more than any job, it’s my life here that prepared me. I grew up in Jefferson County, hauled grain down County Line, raised my kids on these roads, and I’ve carried the pain of injury while still showing up — because this place and its people are worth fighting for. I’m not a career politician. I’m a local guy who knows what it feels like to struggle, to sacrifice, and to care deeply about our farms, our aquifer, our roads, and our way of life. That heart, that grit, and that real-world experience are what I’ll bring to the commissioner’s seat. I want to protect the county I love for the next generation — the same way I’ve protected my own family and the people I’ve served. This isn’t just a job to me. It’s personal.
