The three-member Board of County Commissioners is the governing body of the county. County Commissioner is the only office that has legislative, executive and judicial responsibilities and duties. Commissioners have the power to pass ordinances, adopt budgets, fix tax levy rates and oversee the county budget. They are charged with the duty of supervising the official conduct of all county officers as their conduct relates to public monies and revenues, as well as supervising appointed boards and committees. They also act as the Board of Equalization. The Board sits as a quasi-judicial body to hear various matters, including planning and zoning requests, property valuation protests and requests for cancellation of taxes, and indigent issues among many others.
Campaign Statement
I am running at the urging of many Fremont County registered voters. They have become frustrated by what many view as the lack of decision making and the lack of leadership and accountability by some county officials. County residents elected the commissioners to their positions to lead the county, to make decisions and to help the county plan and adapt to growth happening in Fremont County. County commissioners are the county leaders. I have years of experience in leading large businesses. I know how to look at all options and make hard decisions. I promise that if I am elected, I will do my best to serve and represent ALL the people in Fremont County.

Fremont County Commissioner District #18
I want to cultivate a feeling of confidence in our county leadership. I will accomplish this by being transparent, communicating, and working hard with integrity.
I have worked in the private sector of the insurance industry for 43 years. During this time, I have been solving problems involving life and death, as well as large sums of money. I have learned that by using common sense most problems can be solved. I have really enjoyed helping individuals come to conclusions and be at peace with their circumstances.
Growth is othe big one and not everyone likes to see it but we know people are coming to enjoy our great area. We love our small town culture and I know we can continue to keep it special as we manage the changes in the future. It comes down to respecting people's rights as property owners while directing the changes in an orderly way.
I would like the voters to know that I have no agenda. I just want to represent the people in this great county. I also believe agriculture is our county's number one economic driver. We need to always understand this when making decisions. I know we can continue to make this area the best place to live and raise a family. My grandchildren are sixth generation Fremont county residents so my roots are deep. I will serve to the best of my ability to represent ALL residents.
