The three-member Board of County Commissioners is the governing body of the county. County Commissioner is the only office that has legislative, executive and judicial responsibilities and duties. Commissioners have the power to pass ordinances, adopt budgets, fix tax levy rates and oversee the county budget. They are charged with the duty of supervising the official conduct of all county officers as their conduct relates to public monies and revenues, as well as supervising appointed boards and committees. They also act as the Board of Equalization. The Board sits as a quasi-judicial body to hear various matters, including planning and zoning requests, property valuation protests and requests for cancellation of taxes, and indigent issues among many others.

Office Sought
Elmore County Commissioner
I’m running to bring responsible budgeting to Elmore County and make sure your tax dollars are used wisely on essential services. I will protect our water, our way of life, and our future generations by standing up for sustainable management and water rights. I believe in preserving our rural character, protecting property rights, and supporting our farmers, families, and local businesses. I will work with state and local governments to bring real resources and opportunities back to our community. With real-world experience and leadership as a graduate of Class 41 of Leadership Idaho Agriculture, I will serve with transparency, accountability, and common sense—always putting Elmore County first.
My experience is grounded in finance, budgeting, construction, and agriculture, giving me a strong understanding of both public and private operations. I have managed finances, HR, and budgeting for a large electrical contractor, building expertise in cost control and organizational leadership. I also co-founded and operated a general and electrical contracting business, where I oversaw all financial management and budgeting. In my current role with the Idaho Barley Commission, I manage financial operations, ensure fiscal accountability, and work with farmers and local and state governments. As a graduate of Class 41 of Leadership Idaho Agriculture (LIA), I bring proven leadership to serve Elmore County responsibly.
One of the most significant challenges facing Elmore County is managing growth while protecting our rural way of life. As our communities grow, we must ensure development is responsible, infrastructure keeps pace, and property rights are respected. Water security is another critical issue. Protecting our water resources is essential to sustaining agriculture, supporting our economy, and preserving our way of life for future generations. Additionally, maintaining responsible budgeting is vital as costs rise and demands increase. We must ensure taxpayer dollars are used efficiently. Strong coordination with state and local governments is also key to securing resources and supporting our community long term.
“I will be accessible, responsive, and accountable to the people of Elmore County. I believe in listening to residents, being transparent in decisions, and ensuring your voice is represented in county government.”
