Boise County Commissioner District 2

The three-member Board of County Commissioners is the governing body of the county. County Commissioner is the only office that has legislative, executive and judicial responsibilities and duties. Commissioners have the power to pass ordinances, adopt budgets, fix tax levy rates and oversee the county budget. They are charged with the duty of supervising the official conduct of all county officers as their conduct relates to public monies and revenues, as well as supervising appointed boards and committees. They also act as the Board of Equalization. The Board sits as a quasi-judicial body to hear various matters, including planning and zoning requests, property valuation protests and requests for cancellation of taxes, and indigent issues among many others.

Campaign Statement We live in a part of Idaho that is some of the most special land in the West. It was shaped by people who worked hard, lived honestly, and built something worth protecting. Boise County has long been a place people could quietly call home. That is changing, and it now requires professional, steady leadership to guide it forward. Growth brings opportunity, but it also puts pressure on legacy families, infrastructure, and the services we rely on every day. This is a working position that requires preparation, attention to detail, and sound decision making. I am running because I understand that responsibility. If you have questions, call me. I will answer.

Office Sought Boise County - Commissioner - District 2
Boise County is facing pressure from growth, strain on infrastructure, and limited funding tools to support the services people rely on every day. Roads, emergency services, and the sheriff’s office must be maintained while the county operates within a tight budget. These challenges are connected and require steady, informed decision making. Growth must be managed through planning and zoning with a clear understanding of long term impact. At the same time, the county must focus on responsible budgeting and prioritizing core services. My approach is to understand the details, work within the law, and make decisions that hold up over time.
My background is built on communication, systems, and real world problem solving. I currently run a business that operates nationally and remotely, which requires clear communication, accountability, and the ability to manage people and decisions without direct oversight. I approach challenges with a systems mindset, understanding how decisions impact multiple parts of an operation. I have also worked directly with state and local partners, including organizing the Lowman community with the Idaho Transportation Department to address safety concerns. Earlier in life, my military experience taught me how to operate in small teams where communication and trust are critical.
I believe engagement starts with being available. I have published my phone number and encourage people to call me directly, and I will continue that approach. This is a service role, and decisions should be grounded in a real understanding of the people they affect. That comes from listening, not just at meetings, but through direct conversation. I will remain accessible, communicate openly, and stay connected to the community so decisions are informed by real input, not assumptions.
