- Property Tax Reform - I address in Q3 - it is my understanding that State Revenue is going to come in well under the past few years and below projected budget. If this is true, it will consume most everything. - Energy needs and Data Center - I believe that the Energy Interim Committee has been working on both these issues and we need to formulate a plan for the future of Montana Fix Property Tax bills from 2025 for Montana AG Producers - seems that there were some unintended consequences on our AG Producers. We need to fix these for our AG industry
In Montana we need to find a real solution for Property Tax Reform. In 2025 Session the Tax Shift did help 80% of home owners for the short term temporarily. As President Reagan said, "business does not pay taxes, they pass them onto consumers". A real and permanent Property Tax Relief plan needs to be passed
I think securing our elections should be a priority but until we find out if the US Congress passes that Save America Act, we as a state will not be able to formulate a plan in Montana. I hate $$ in politics. Though in Montana we do have low Max contributions directly to candidates, the Outside PAC's & 3rd party expenditures is where the issues are. With the Independent Pac's and 3rd party expenditures, we need to find a way to reign them in
