Town of Westlake Council Member Place 2

City councils in Texas each have specific responsibilities unique to their city. Duties of a city council generally include setting the tax rate, approving a budget, adopting local ordinances, and managing land transactions. City councils plan and oversee public services and facilities: police and fire protection; health and sanitation services; animal control; street construction and maintenance; garbage collection and disposal; transportation systems; recreational facilities; parking; airports; jails; parks and zoos; libraries and museums; hospitals and emergency services; building codes/zoning; and water and sewage service. City council members may also elect other municipal officers or appoint citizens to serve on boards and commissions.

Occupation Council member
BS Accounting; CPA; corporate executive—CFO of two Fortune 500 companies; CEO of one. Westlake Town Council member since September 2024; non-profit boards: Bass Hall (Ft Worth); Lehman College Foundation (New York); Vestry St Martin in the Fields (Keller)
I felt a calling to step forward and serve on the Council and to offer my experience as a former Fortune 500 CEO and CFO to help preserve what makes Westlake special. I was appointed in September 2024 and re-elected in May 2025. On the Council, I apply a business-minded lens to every decision, ensuring we are financially responsible while planning for the future.
Our meetings are live-streamed and can also be watched through our video archive, accessible on the Westlake website. Our finances are discussed in detail during our meetings, and we post our budget and other financial information on our website. We provide time at the beginning of each meeting for public comment.
I support the rule of law and assuring that our citizens are protected from discrimination. I believe in diversity of experience and thought because in my business life, I found that better answers are derived by doing so..
I will always support the laws of our Town, State and the US Constitution.
We are addressing our growth through a thoughtful strategic plan that analyzes our financial capabilities and development opportunities. We are continuing to look at infrastructure needs, both current through maintenance programs and future due to growth, and addressing them in a financially sound manner.
