If elected, I want to be a reliable voice for the people of District 28 and focus on the issues that matter most to families and local communities. That means supporting responsible budgeting, defending parental rights, protecting public safety, and making sure Idaho remains a place where people can afford to live, work, and raise a family. I would also like to help strengthen trust between voters and their representatives by being accessible, transparent, and a better match for our area's social values than what we have had.
My life experience has prepared me for this role more than anything else. I have worked in the private sector, managed people and operations, balanced budgets, and seen firsthand how government decisions affect working families. Since moving to Idaho, I have been active in local Republican politics and community organizing, and I am currently serving my second term as Vice-Chairman of the Power County Republican Central Committee. This experience has given me a strong understanding of the concerns people have and reinforced the importance of showing up, listening, and doing the work.
Families in rural Idaho want a government that spends their hard-earned money only on things that make sense, not on funding an uncontrollable bureaucracy in Boise. I think this position gives me an opportunity to help address concerns about spending, and to ensure our district has a strong and dependable voice at the Capitol.
I want voters to know that I take this responsibility seriously. I am not running for a title; I am running to serve. I care deeply about this district, and if elected I will work hard, listen carefully, and do my best to represent the people of District 28 with honesty, consistency, and respect for Idaho values.

I have a lifetime experience in business, finance, and the discipline of military service. I’m 81 years old and I believe I have the wisdom that will influence law makers to focus on needs of Idahoans, especially education. There are too many bills that pass into law from Florida, Texas, and ALEC - a Corporate bill writing organization Idaho legislators attend and bring back, cut and paste as their own. The Legislative Session is 92 days long. Utah is 45 days to do the people’s business. Resolutions and Memorials cost the taxpayers $70,000 a day. Too many laws are litigated costing taxpayers $millions. $59 million of the $64 million election year donations come from Corporate Lobbies and Special Interests in and outside Idaho.
I served in the Air Force 1962 - 1968. I was hired by IBM as a Field Engineer including management maintaining IBM Computers in businesses in SE Idaho, Minnesota, Los Angeles, and Utah for 32 years. I was hired by Aid Association for Lutherans (Thrivent) as a Financial planner in Northern Utah serving 1,000 clients for 13 years. I achieved the Million Dollar Round Table. I joined the Jr Chamber of Commerce in Pocatello,. IBM moved me to Rochester, MN where I was recognized an Outstanding Young Man of America in 1979 for Community Service. IBM moved me to California where I received a 2nd Outstanding Young Man of America in 1981. I was a Republican Voting District Chairman in South Jordan for 10 years. I retired and built a home in McCammon.
Bring moderation back to the Idaho Legislature that focuses on Idaho. The Anti LGTBQ, Anti Vaccination, demonizing people of color especially the undocumented, removing the reproductive rights of women, refusing Federal funds for summer lunches for low income families children, Christian Nationalism that is Neither Christian Nor Patriotic, campaign Finance Reform, reducing the Legislative Session to match Utah’s 45 days, making voting easier rather than hard, compel elected officials to disclose assets like 48 other states, stop bounties like the $250 library bill and $100,000 teacher reporting Gender Dysphoria to parents in 72 hours, increasing public school funding to match other states, help Veterans receive the benefits they deserve.
I was asked by Senator Nye to run for the Idaho Legislature in 2016 with a 90 minute phone call. I declined his pressure until I saw the neighbors children getting off the bus at 4:45 PM and watching them get on the bus at 6:AM, 4 days a week, there is no school on Fridays and the children sell candy to play sports and band. I attended public Schools in the 1st thru 12th grade in Idaho, Illinois, Georgia, and Panama in 6 different communities as a military dependent. I have vacationed in 30 countries including a classroom in Shanghai, China where the children are taught English and Mandarin. It is a myth that low funding of education achieves the same results as states like Wyoming with double the funding of Idaho.
