Qualifications: What training, experience, and characteristics qualify you for this position?

Issues: What are the two (2) most pressing issues that you will face in the office that you seek? Describe your specific plans/ideas for addressing these issues.

I am a Houston small business owner, civic leader and longtime advocate for responsive local government. I worked for two City Council Members and for St. Rep. Carol Alvarado, focusing on constituent issues, working directly with residents to resolve issues affecting their daily lives. Council budget review will be underway when I take office. My experience with the city budget will allow me to contribute from day one. From fixing neighborhood infrastructure problems to helping people navigate city departments, effective government begins with listening to residents and responding quickly when problems arise. Helping people fix the issues that affect their daily lives is what I love most and what drives me to run for City Council.
Constituent service. This will be a team effort. Every member of my staff will handle constituent issues. Each will be assigned an area; residents will know who to call about problems. I will be out every night at community meetings to listen to residents and I will bring City department representatives with me. I will govern from the ground up, not the top down. Budget. I will spend District Service Funds on public safety, flood mitigation and mobility issues. To add budget revenue, I propose a real estate audit that would bring up to market rate the rent paid by companies that lease space in city buildings and that would identify “Zombie Lots"— small, unproductive parcels of land that cost the City money to maintain—and auction them off.
I believe I am the best candidate for this role because of my community experience, relevant professional background, and strong work ethic.

For five years, I’ve organized across District C, working with city staff, Super Neighborhoods, TxDOT, and local groups to advance safer, more accessible communities. This has given me deep insight into neighborhood priorities and coalition-building.

As a renewable energy developer, I’ve managed large-scale infrastructure projects, gaining experience with budgets, procurement, and timelines—skills critical for improving major corridors.

Above all, I bring relentless energy and a commitment to serve, engage residents, and deliver meaningful results for District C.
My top priorities are safer streets and affordable housing.

Houston’s streets are among the most dangerous in the nation. I will work with TIRZs, Management Districts, and the County to fund redesigns, and focus on the High Injury Network to target the most dangerous corridors. I will also pursue a Vision Zero Dashboard to provide real-time data and better deploy resources.

Housing affordability is critical in District C, which has the city’s highest median rent. I will support reducing parking minimums, updating setback rules, and enabling single-stair reform. I will also introduce a Transit Corridor Expedited Permitting Ordinance to accelerate housing near transit and lower costs.
