I believe a county commissioner’s job is to make sure county government stays focused on the basic services people count on and that taxpayer dollars are spent carefully and responsibly. That includes solid budgeting, maintaining infrastructure, and making sure county services keep up with everyday needs. As Rutherford County continues to grow, commissioners also need to think ahead so roads, services, and development keep pace in a practical way. Just as important, a commissioner should listen to residents, understand the different needs across the district, and make decisions that reflect both current needs and long-term responsibility.
1. Support practical long-term planning so roads, infrastructure, and county services keep pace with growth.
2. Improve communication so residents better understand major county decisions before important votes are made.
I will time to review proposals and support decisions that make sense not just for today, but for the county’s future.
I’d utlize my platforms to share information to give our community a chance to understand issues before major decisions are made.
