About Me
Hello, I am Celest Davis. I am a wife, mother of two public school children, a small business owner, and most importantly, your neighbor. Now is the time for our representation to reflect the ever-growing community here in Rutherford County. As your County Commissioner, I am committed to taking action on the issues that matter most to you. I will focus on building strong relationships, supporting and engaging with our community, and remaining accessible so I can truly hear and address your concerns. When we stand together and invest in our community, we make our county the best place to live, work, and raise a family.
The main responsibility of a County Commissioner is to serve the people by making decisions that reflect the best interests of the ENTIRE community.
That means setting responsible budgets, supporting public services like schools, infrastructure, and public safety, and planning for smart, sustainable growth as our community continues to expand.
Just as important, a County Commissioner must be accessible; listening to residents, building relationships, and making sure every voice is heard. At the end of the day, it’s about working together to strengthen our community and ensure our county remains a great place to live, work, and raise a family.
First, I want to make sure residents truly understand what their county Commissioner does and how our decisions impact their daily lives. That means being intentional about educating the community by breaking down budgets, services, and policies in a way that’s clear, transparent, and accessible to everyone.
Secondly, I want to strengthen community engagement by building real relationships and creating more opportunities for people to be involved. When people are informed and feel heard, we can make better decisions together ensuring our county continues to grow in a way that reflects the needs of the people.
I would accomplish these goals by being present, visible, and accessible in the community. That means hosting regular monthly meet-and-greets, visiting our schools, attending local churches, and actively participating in county events and festivals.
I also want to create consistent opportunities to educate residents by sharing clear, easy-to-understand information about what we do as a commission and how our decisions impact their daily lives.
By meeting people where they are, listening to their concerns, and keeping them informed, I can help build trust, strengthen relationships, and ensure our community stays connected to the work being done on their behalf.
