Office Sought State Representative, Legislative Dist. 30 B
I will work to assure sustainable development and infrastructure, affordable housing, affordable healthcare, and strong public education. To accomplish this, it is imperative to stop the bleeding of Idaho’s revenue with steep tax cuts that disproportionately benefit billionaires and corporations.
I served in the Army for 15 years and understand the necessity of networking to accomplish common goals and what it takes to be a leader. I also served on the Arco City Council, and I am skilled at operating in conjunction with multiple organizations such as Idaho Transportation Department (ITD), Idaho State Police (ISP), Water districts, State and County officials, Roads and Bridges Departments, School Districts, Planning and Zoning Committees, and other governmental agencies. I am currently the Butte County Democratic Chair, Region 7 Rural Caucus Chair, and I work as a Paralegal. I understand grant writing, contracts, and the fundamentals of Idaho government and Law. I intend to utilize my experience to fight for District 30 B.
I see water rights/usage in East Idaho being one of the toughest problems arising after our dry winter. This will affect all Southern Idaho, but most of all, Eastern Idaho. I look forward to addressing both short-term and long-term solutions for this issue. Additionally, I find that our current representatives are wasting tax-payer dollars on minuscule issues such as who can sell off human remains. I view these actions as wasteful spending when we have pending imminent disasters such as droughts, lack of education funding, lack of affordable housing, and livable wages, caring for disabled children, and ensuring all have access to healthcare should be their priority. I will fight to ensure prosperity and freedom for all.
I would like voters to know that I took an oath to the Constitution of the United States of America when I enlisted in the Army. That oath did not come with an expiration date. I also took an oath to the State of Idaho Constitution when I was sworn in as a City Councilwoman; also, an oath that has no expiration date. I will work for my constituents and will maintain my oath to the constitution. My motivation for holding office is simple: I took an oath and I will uphold that oath for the betterment Idahoans.
