When reelected, I am committed to protecting Medicaid expansion from repeal. Recent policy proposals, including implementing drastic and unnecessary work requirements, already threaten coverage for tens of thousands of Idahoans who rely on expansion for healthcare.
I’m proud to be currently representing District 17 in the Idaho House of Representatives. My career has been rooted in public service, including 15 years as a librarian, before going to law school to become an employment attorney. I now practice employment law here in Idaho and bring both my legal experience and dedication to public service to the work I do on behalf of my constituents.
One of the most significant challenges facing Idaho is housing affordability. Too many families are being priced out of their communities, and affordability is consistently ranked a top issue, as seen in a recent study by Boise State. During my time on the Interim Land Use and Housing Committee, I worked with stakeholders across the state to identify barriers to affordable housing. I’ve continued that work by supporting legislation to increase supply and expand building options. This is an issue with bipartisan momentum, and I’m committed to finding practical solutions that move Idahoans into safe and affordable housing.
I’ve dedicated time and energy to keeping Idahoans informed of what is happening in the Statehouse, including hosting multiple town halls during each legislative session, doing weekly video updates, regular social media updates, and sending out a bimonthly newsletter. Transparency and accessibility is important to me, and this work is about making sure your voice is heard and your concerns are reflected in the decisions being made. I’ll continue listening, engaging, and delivering for the people I serve.
