Office Sought House of Representatives, Seat 14B
I am committed to serving everyone in District 14, especially those who are not being adequately represented by our elected officials in the House of Representatives. I will invite and listen to concerns, work collaboratively to identify challenges and opportunities, and pursue solutions through the legislative process. I believe in fixing the right problem—asking questions, understanding the consequences of action and inaction, and rejecting exclusionary or divisive tactics that undermine meaningful progress.
I bring more than 25 years of experience in public sector human resources administration to this role. Throughout my career, I have demonstrated analytical thinking, effective communication, sound judgment, and collaborative problem-solving. I have a real-world understanding of what public service means - who we serve, the importance of compromise and transparency, the challenge of legal constraints, and the duty of responsible fiscal management. I understand that success is not just about finding a solution; sometimes it is about listening to all parties, considering differing viewpoints, being open to new information, and ensuring that everyone has a voice in the process.
Effective governance requires principled compromise within the framework set forth in our Constitution. That foundational structure seems to have gotten lost in our current political environment. We have a super-majority Party in both the Idaho House and Senate; these members have little demonstrated interest in listening to or addressing concerns of constituents- regardless of political affiliation - when those concerns do not align with the Party platform. We deserve better. We did not get to this point overnight, and change will require that concerned citizens step up and start a different conversation, even when it is uncomfortable. I am committed to being a part of that effort.
I am offering District 14 a choice and a voice through thoughtful leadership, responsible stewardship of public resources, and a commitment to serving all constituents with integrity and common sense.
