Give representation to citizens whose concerns are being dismissed or ignored. Restore more autonomy to local governments, boards, districts, businesses and citizens whose choices are being meddled with and regulated by an overreaching legislature intent on micromanaging from the state level everything from healthcare choices, public restrooms, and flags to library books, school dress codes, and personal relationships.
Worked as a journalist covering state and local government, agriculture and science issues for over 20 years. Served as City Councilman in Bellevue, Idaho.
Restricting or reversing infringements on the autonomy of local governments and restoring the liberties of private citizens.
I consider myself a progressive libertarian who believes in "liberty for all" regardless of wealth, race, religion, or sexual orientation. I favor the Democratic Party because Democrats generally believe in "good governance" rather than being opposed to governance in general.
