Campaign Statement
District 7 is one of Idaho’s most diverse. From the forested rural communities and agricultural lands to the growing cities and towns that anchor our local economy. Our people work hard, care for their families, and want a future where opportunity reaches every corner of our district. I’m running for Seat A because every community deserves a representative who listens, understands and lived local challenges. And, will work every day to strengthen our shared quality of life. Whether it’s supporting small businesses, protecting natural resources, improving infrastructure, or ensuring strong schools, I’m committed to practical solutions that reflect the values of the people of our district.

I want to help restore the American Dream. Hearing my daughter say she may never own a home breaks my heart, but it also fills me with hope and determination. Homeownership once symbolized possibility, and I believe it can again. I’m committed to expanding access to affordable housing so families across our state, whether just starting out or establishing roots, can build the bright future they deserve. I may be new to the statehouse, but I’m driven to learn, listen and to work hard, to help bring this dream back within reach for our children and our communities. We owe it to them.
I was born and raised in Parma, a small Idaho town that taught me the value of hard work, community, and looking out for your neighbors. District 7’s rural communities feel like home. For the past 30 years, Lewiston has been my family’s home, and owning a small business here has deepened my understanding of local challenges and some of the leadership that is needed at the state level. Serving on the city council and as mayor gave me the privilege of hearing people’s hopes and concerns. These experiences taught me to lead with empathy and bring people together, preparing me to serve this district with heart and respect.
One of the biggest challenges ahead will be the learning curve and to most effectively represent District 7, but I’m ready to work hard and rise to it. Representing a district this large also means making the effort to meet people across every community so every voice is heard. With a district as diverse as ours, I’m determined to fairly weigh the needs of each area and understand how we fit into the broader needs of the state. I’m hopeful that with dedication and openness, I can serve this district with honesty, balance, and real impact.
I bring a perspective shaped by a lifetime in communities just like those across this district. I grew up in rural Idaho, where hard work, resilience, and looking out for your neighbors were a way of life. For the past 30 years, Lewiston has been my home, that and my service on city council as mayor has given me a deep understanding of the needs and challenges of our largest community. My experience as a small‑business owner and my career recruiting and developing students across the entire state have connected me to Idaho’s future in a meaningful way. The success I’ve been fortunate to have comes from hard work, the trust of those around me, and a willingness to learn—qualities I will carry forward in representing this district.
