House District 5, Seat A
Protect rural hospital funding, expand telehealth, ensure every woman has access to quality reproductive and preventative healthcare. I will stand against legislation that endangers patients and drives away doctors we need.
I have spent my career in at the intersection of policy, law, and patient impact. My work in healthcare compliance helped me understand how legislation translates into real-world consequences for patients and providers. I earned a Master of Jurisprudence in Health Law from Loyola University Chicago School of Law and a Criminal Justice degree from Gonzaga University which enhanced my legal and policy literacy.
First, healthcare access is eroding in rural communities. Laws passed in Boise have driven physicians out of Idaho, leaving families with fewer providers and longer distances to travel for basic care. Protecting Critical Access Hospitals, expanding telehealth, and reversing the policies contributing to our physician exodus must be priorities.
Second, the cost of living has outpaced wages for working families. I raised two daughters as a single mother on $17 an hour, and I understand what that budget requires. Idaho families deserve policies that reflect the real cost of housing, childcare, and daily life in 2026.
