I bring experience in public service, nonprofit leadership, and business. As a Municipal Utility District Director, I work on infrastructure and budgeting that affect residents daily. My background in real estate and community leadership gives me insight into housing, development, and local economic growth.
I’m motivated by a commitment to service and a vision for a stronger Rosenberg. I want to improve infrastructure, create opportunity, and ensure inclusive leadership where every resident has a voice and a stake in our city’s future.
Infrastructure, economic development, and community safety should remain top priorities. Rosenberg’s growth requires strong planning to ensure roads, drainage, and city services keep pace with development. I support responsible growth that brings new opportunities while supporting local businesses. I would work collaboratively with residents, city staff, and public safety partners to prioritize smart planning, responsible budgeting, and solutions that strengthen our economy and maintain the quality of life residents value.
Supporting aging neighborhoods means maintaining roads, drainage, lighting, and city services while ensuring residents are heard when development decisions are made. Responsible growth should strengthen infrastructure, protect neighborhood character, and ensure new development benefits the entire community.
Economic development should focus on supporting local businesses while attracting responsible new investment. I believe the city should create an environment where small businesses can grow and new businesses can succeed. Strengthening infrastructure, encouraging redevelopment, and working collaboratively with business owners will help create jobs and expand opportunities for residents.
My priorities are infrastructure, economic opportunity, and community well-being. Rosenberg’s growth requires strong planning to ensure roads, drainage, and city services keep pace with development. I support policies that encourage responsible development and strengthen local businesses. I will work collaboratively with residents, city staff, and community partners to ensure thoughtful planning and responsible budgeting.
One critical issue for Rosenberg is ensuring growth is balanced with the needs of residents. As our city expands, infrastructure, economic opportunity, and community services must keep pace. I support thoughtful planning, responsible development, and strong engagement with residents so their voices are heard in decisions that shape our city. By working collaboratively with the community, we can ensure Rosenberg continues to grow while preserving the character and quality of life residents value.
I am a lifelong resident of Rosenberg and am familiar with this City.
I served on City Council 2016-2018. I served on the Finance Committee, the Hot Tax Committee and the Engineering Committee. I also served as a Board Member on the Rosenberg Development Corporation. Having served prior to this Election makes me qualified to serve the citizens of Rosenberg.
I watch the City Council Meetings and have seen the lack of transparency of the current Council. I have also seen them trying to to take half of the sales tax .50 (1/2 cent) collected by the Rosenberg Development Corp thus decreasing it to .25 (1/4 cent). The Crime Prevention Board is a slush fund for the City.
As usual, we need to continue to improve our infrastructure. We need to address drainage issues in Timberlane and Avenue N. As I travel around Rosenberg, I see our streets aging. Cambridge Village, where I have lived for 40years, needs work. This is where our Comprehensive Plan comes into play. Charter Amendment 2 on the Ballot wants to do away with this. This a bad idea. Prioritizing these issues is necessary or they will never be done.
I can support the aging and new neighborhoods by being on Council. If I disagree with other Council Members I will not back down. I will also work closely with our Planning Commission to insure the City and Developers are treated fairly. We must use our City Budget to designate funds to those areas where citizens are
being underfunded. Taxes are for all our citizens regardless of their
socioeconomic status.
It is the responsibility of the RDC to work with businesses to bring their companies to Rosenberg. In fact they spend 13% of their sales tax on job creation. As Councilor, I would ask to be appointed to the RDC. Board. The Hotel Occupancy Tax can be used to help existing businesses. As Rosenberg grows so do our existing businesses.
This was covered in the third question. Infrastructure, keeping the Rosenberg Development Corp strong and healthy and Council being independent thinkers and not caving every time we disagree. We must agree to disagree but be strong in our convictions and vision for this City. At this time, we are being reactive and not proactive.
Rosenberg will not survive without a Council with VISION and transparency in our government. Listen to the people.
No decisions should be made unless we are absolutely transparent with the citizens. No Executive Sessions where issues are dealt with in secrecy. Such as HEB being turned away from the West side without giving the citizens a chance to voice their opinions. No Councilors have talked about this. Executive Session is used because everything talked about in ES is considered to be privileged. Decisions are being made behind these doors that affect
all of our citizens but we are kept in the dark.
