Experience matters in a growing city. With 12+ years of volunteer experience in local government, I bring a unique, 360-degree perspective to city leadership. My background spans (9) years on volunteer boards, including Planning, Zoning, Adjustments, and Sales Tax Audit; & (3) years on Fulshear City Council. Having navigated a similar trajectory of rapid expansion in Owasso, OK, I have the experience necessary to guide Fulshear through the complexities of growth. I know exactly where the pitfalls lie. I am running to provide the steady, informed leadership committed to provide fiscal responsibility, improved infrastructure, and public safety.
Successful governance requires specific plans, not generic promises. In my role as Council liaison, I work across our Economic Development Corporations to attract businesses that diversify our tax base and reduce the burden on residents. I’ve supported a dual-track approach: providing robust incentives for large-scale commercial projects while offering vital grants and mentorship to our small business community through Fulshear Fast Track and the SBDC. These programs aren't just about growth, they are about creating a sustainable, self-reliant Fulshear.
Water, waste water, and pavement quality - I have consistently voted to upgrade and expand our water and waste water plants and fund new ones. Ensuring a guaranteed supply of clean water amid subsidence concerns and NFBWA surface water requirements is a priority. With Water Plant #2 nearing completion—featuring a 1.5M gallon storage tank and 4 MGD capacity interconnected with Cross Creek, we are delivering on our city's most critical need. I have also championed legal actions and policy changes aimed at reducing NFBWA pass-through fees on our water bills. As a Water Conservation Committee member, I remain dedicated to responsible water management and long-term sustainability for the city.
1. Public safety: Fulshear is one of the safest cities in Texas and the US. To maintain that status even with the rapid growth, funding our police department is of utmost importance. Just a status quo is not sufficient. As a council member, I have supported FPD by funding for various programs like drones, vehicle upgrades etc. I am also life member of Fulshear Police Foundation.
2. Water/Wastewater: I’ve voted to expand infrastructure to secure a clean, sustainable water supply.
3. Streets & Traffic: To address growth, I’ve championed "better than fair" street funding and safety ordinances, including e-bike regulations, school zone controls, and flashing beacons for pedestrian crosswalks.
Local government directly impacts our daily quality of life. It is gratifying to be able to recognize community needs, identify solutions & implement improvements with the help of nearly 13 years of volunteering experience in the local government and a professional engineering background. Community service has become an integral part of my life.
Over the next decade, Fulshear can continue to remain a premier destination by diversifying our tax base to ensure low city tax rates. By scaling elite public safety and completing infrastructure projects like parks, water, and streets, we can provide modern, world-class conveniences while protecting our unique small-town character.
District 2 residents are highly engaged professionals, and as a neighbor, I share their concerns firsthand. I believe resident input is vital to effective policy, which is why I prioritize direct communication. I provide regular city updates via social media, host Council Connect meetings for in-person feedback, and personally respond to every call, text, and email, whether it’s a complaint, comment, or compliment. My goal is to bridge the gap between City Hall and our community, ensuring your expertise and perspectives actively shape Fulshear’s future. I also support local non-profit groups.
