I’m motivated by giving back and leaving our community better than I found it. The long nights and sacrifices are worth it when you see students succeed. Whether in the classroom, on the field, or walking the stage at graduation. Seeing that pride and accomplishment is what drives me to serve.
My priorities are improving elementary and middle school academic performance, sustaining strong CCMR and STEM outcomes, and ensuring a successful superintendent transition. I will support data-driven instruction, strong leadership, and strategic planning. I will also navigate Texas school finance challenges to keep our district competitive and provide every student the opportunity to succeed.
With limited resources, we have to be strategic and creative. I focus on prioritizing student outcomes, making smart, data-driven decisions, and maximizing what we have. We must address unfunded mandates, stay competitive with school choice, invest in aging infrastructure, and strengthen our fund balance; all while maintaining high-quality education.
I stay involved by showing up,campus tours, community breakfasts, and school events. I’ve judged the FIRST LEGO Robotics tournament, supported blood drives, attended athletic events, and cheered on our champion esports team. Being present helps me stay connected to our students, staff, and families
With over 12 years in municipal government, I understand policies, regulations, and accountability. Serving as Chair of the Planning and Zoning Commission has given me real experience in governance and decision-making. Combined with ongoing training, this allows me to make informed decisions that serve our students and community.
The board must build trust through transparency, accessibility, and engagement. I respond to every call, text, and email while staying present at schools and community events. Strong relationships come from listening, being visible, and ensuring our community understands both our decisions and the reasons behind them.
I contribute by building strong relationships with my fellow board members, always keeping students as our number one priority. I stay active in the community, attend trainings, and encourage open, respectful dialogue—even when we don’t agree. That trust and teamwork help us move forward together and make the best decisions for students.
As someone who works in education, I see firsthand the lack of support and resources many of our students and teachers face every day. Teachers are being asked to do more with less while managing overcrowded classrooms and increasing responsibilities. When educators do not have the support they need, it directly impacts the success of our students.
One of my top priorities is increasing support and resources inside our schools. Many teachers are managing overcrowded classrooms with more than 30 students, which makes it difficult to give every child the attention they deserve.
Another priority is increasing staff support. Schools need more paraprofessionals and support staff to help teachers meet students’ academic and behavioral needs.
Finally, student success must remain the focus of every decision the district makes. To address these priorities, I would advocate for strategic hiring, responsible resource allocation, and open communication with teachers and the community so decisions reflect the real needs inside our classrooms.
Managing the district’s budget requires responsibility, transparency, and a focus on student success. My priority would be ensuring that funding is directed where it has the greatest impact inside the classroom. This includes investing in teachers, instructional materials, student support services, and programs that directly improve learning outcomes.
I would also support regularly reviewing district spending to identify areas where funds may not be directly benefiting students or teachers and redirect those resources to areas of greater need. Strategic budgeting helps ensure that every dollar is used effectively.
Additionally, I believe it is important to explore grants, partnerships, and external funding opportunities.
I have been personally involved in the district through my work in education and my engagement with students, families, and school staff. Being inside the school environment has given me firsthand insight into the challenges teachers face and the needs students have every day.
My experience working in education has given me a clear understanding of how policies and decisions impact students, teachers, and schools. I understand the realities inside the classroom and the importance of making decisions that truly support learning and student success.
I bring strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills that allow me to collaborate effectively with educators, administrators, parents, and community members. I believe good governance requires listening to all stakeholders and making thoughtful decisions that benefit the entire district.
In addition to my professional experience, I am committed to transparency, accountability, and service. I believe leadership is about advocating for what is best.
The school board should maintain an open, transparent, and respectful relationship with the community it serves. Families, teachers, and community members should feel that their voices are heard and valued.
I believe communication and accessibility are key. Board members should be present in schools, attend community events, and create opportunities for families and educators to share their concerns and ideas.
I will contribute by bringing a collaborative mindset and a strong focus on students and teachers. An effective board requires members who are willing to listen, work together, and make decisions that prioritize student success.
I will support transparency, professionalism, and thoughtful decision-making so that the board operates with integrity.
